The second quarter of 2026 marked a turning point for the health protective glove industry. Zhonghong Medical expects its net profit for the first half of the year to increase by approximately 23.4 to 35.6 times year-on-year, while Lanfan Medical also achieved a turnaround from loss to profit.
From the beginning of the year to April, nitrile glove prices rose significantly from the end of Q1 due to disruptions in the global crude oil and chemical supply chains caused by geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East. However, entering May, as regional conflicts gradually eased and upstream raw material supplies became more abundant, nitrile latex prices began to decline. The order price for disposable medical-grade nitrile gloves reached $28-30 per box in May, falling back to approximately $19 per box by the end of June.
